Through experimental videos, collages, fabrics and edible sculptures,
Sofia creates a world that seems real but is not, inviting audiences to question perceptions of reality and self. She created an alter ego called “Shawty”, who is a part
of this world. Sofia is experiencing a journey to self discovery, emerging through different aspects of her identity.

Sculpture (aluminium, silicone, cream) 2025 The cake slowly decays. Its sweetness fading. A slow death, a degradation like the unraveling of reality itself. What we live, what we feel, feels like a dream, like a simulation, proving we are real. But are we? Is this the reality we chose? The layers degrade away, revealing nothing but the hollow core beneath.
